LIMITATIONS OF PERFORMANCE PROTECTION PLAN:

The Performance Protection Plan does not protect against accidental damage, misuse, neglect, loss, acts of nature or any other event that did not originate during the manufacture of the product.

Repairs may be completed with new or previously used products, with parts equivalent to new performance and reliability, or with equivalent products to an original product that has been discontinued.

FAILED PRODUCT, WHAT DO I DO:

If a product fails, Contact JB’s Power Centre
JB’s Power Centre will help identify the cause of the failure and propose a solution. 

If the failure is caused by a manufacturer’s defect and the product is under Performance Protection Plan, JB’s Power Centre will diagnose and repair or replace (at the discretion of JB’s Power Centre) the product at no charge.

If the product is outside the Performance Protection Plan term, there may be a fee for diagnosis and remedy.

It may be necessary for the customer to assist JB’s Power Centre in assessing a failed product.

Qualifying products that were installed at JB’s Power Centre at the time of purchase and protected by a Performance Protection Plan, will be serviced at no-charge, including removal and re-installation if the vehicle is brought to a JB’s Power Centre location for service.

JB’s Power Centre may require the customer to remove the product from their vehicle and return the item for service.

JB’s Power Centre is not responsible for costs associated with the removal or shipping of a part sent for warranty service. This includes parts or labour costs for removal and re-installation, vehicle downtime (loss of use), transportation or travel expenses.

DETERMINE BEGINNING DATE OR LENGTH OF PERFORMANCE PROTECTION PLAN:

To determine the Performance Protection Plan expiration date for a product, contact JB’s Power Centre.

The length of a Performance Protection Plan term may different between product models. The JB’s Power Centre Performance Protection Plan is designed to supplement the Original Manufacturer’s Warranty, and to extend the Manufacturer’s Warranty Period.

Warranties begin and end on a specific date. The date when a Performance Protection Plan begins may be determined by the date on the customer proof-of-purchase.

LOSS OF DATA:

JB’s Power Centre is not responsible for the loss of data. The owner will be responsible for backing up and care of data.

Therefore, JB’s Power Centre STRONGLY recommends you have a backup plan for data. It is possible to void the Performance Protection Plan on a JB’s Power Centre product. Any failure caused by an unsupported or third-party component will not be covered by Performance Protection Plan. Opening a sealed component or sealed product will void the Performance Protection Plan. Opening a case will not void the Performance Protection Plan on a product that is designed to be opened and upgraded.

TRANSFER OWNERSHIP OF PERFORMANCE PROTECTION PLAN:

An end user can transfer ownership of a JB’s Power Centre product to another end user or company. The remainder of the Performance Protection Plan period will also transfer to the new owner.
