however, modern fuel injection systems and sophisticated testing equipment have exposed inadequacies in traditional crank trigger designs. To correct for timing fluctuations in high-RPM racing applications, FAST engineers replaced the fluctuation prone 2-Wire Inductive Pick-Up with a modern digital Hall-Effect design. This digital Hall-Effect Pickup, coupled with Samarium cobalt magnets installed in the trigger wheel, result in crank rotation measurements that are accurate to ¼ of a degree from 0 to 13,000 engine RPM. The FAST Magnet Crank Trigger Kit’s digital Hall-Effect Pickup is far less susceptible to electromagnetic noise interference than competitors’ antiquated 2-wire designs. Additionally, the Digital Hall-Effect Pick-Up’s accuracy is unaffected by electrical system voltage variations: maintaining ¼-degree timing accuracy from 7 Volts to 30 Volts DC. Despite its advanced design, the FAST Magnet Crank Trigger maintains compatibility with other brands’ ignition systems. Outputting a clean square-wave signal, the Magnet Crank Trigger can trigger ignition boxes directly or integrate with EFI systems such as the FAST EZ-EFI 2.0, XFI Sportsman and XFI 2.0. An integral LED eases timing calibration and diagnostics. The FAST Magnet Crank Trigger Kit does not sacrifice durability for technological innovation.
